Things I made in 2022

In 2022, I decided to practice crocheting. It took me back to my childhood days when my grandmother sat and patiently taught me how. I did some knitting as well, but crochet seemed faster and a bit more fun. for some reason, Here are the things I made in 2022:
- baby blanket for a little one with the initial K
- a Granny Square cardigan for Mija
- a beanie and scarf to keep me warm
- a rectangle granny square blanket
- little potted cacti for office buddies
- a slouchy beanie that could be more slouchy
- I am most proud of this triceratops made from African flower granny squares. It took a while as it is something you must pay much attention to while assembling. The pattern came from HeidiBear on Etsy.
- crochet mittens from a super soft yarn
- a strawberry purse, also for Mija, came from the instructional video and tik tokker , It’sKenKen.
- The final item is a little dabbling in watercolor. A bestie of mine loves owls so I painted her one.
I’m looking forward to 2023 and what things will come.

A special baby blanket

- September 2022
This baby blanket is a gift for a dear friend, expecting their first baby girl. The pattern is free from Peartree Knitting, https://peartreeknitting.com/2020/05/14/hillside-baby-blanket/. Then I added an initial to personalize it. It took a little calculating to center it and count squares as it is built row by row. Love Crafts has a letter K square pattern that worked out well https://www.lovecrafts.com/en-gb/p/capital-k-knitting-pattern-by-fiona-kelly.
