Happy New Year fellow readers! New year new books to read. We start our year with a nonfiction choice. The Art of Gathering

I read this book early in early 2019. Little did I know that a year later we would not be able to gather or our gatherings would be limited to our small pods. As we learned of new ways to gather, virtually, outdoors, small gatherings, Dr. Parker’s book gives us ideas to think about and be intentional about with whom and where we gather so that we can maximize our experience of gathering. Let’s share ideas of how we can implement Dr. Parker’s ideas into our regular gathering of book club.

If any of you are like me this weird time has found me seeking refuge in as many stories from others as possible. I fell short of only 2 books for my 2021 Good Reads Challenge. I have the same goal of 52 books for this year. So far I’m on track.

Because of this need to get lost in others’ stories I have taken to looking at other book club lists. So when I come across a good one, I’ll share that with ya’ll too. In 2021, author Roxane Gay started a book club of her own, which has had some good reads. This week she released her choices this year until September. The list can be found on her LIterati website link here.
